Six teens and seven adults boarded a snorkel boat at John Pennekamp State Park and headed for a beautiful coral reef in the Florida Keys. This was the first snorkeling experience for all of the teens and the first time on a boat for most of them. All had had a chance to practice with snorkels and masks in the shallow waters at the park, had a quick lunch, and were eager try their new skills in the clear blue water over the reef. We saw tons of fish, including angelfish, sergeant majors, needlefish, barracuda, grouper and snapper. If you held your breath you could hear the parrotfish munching on the coral. The group consensus? AWESOME! Thanks, Ben for arranging this with us and for taking all of the beautiful pictures. Thanks also to Matt, Ana, Karthik and Alice for all of your help.
